Mini Cals Missing

Hello again.

I do not have the three mini calendars when I log into the http://www.mywebsite.org/calendar/events/index.php as indicated by the "Getting Started Guide".

The only thing displayed and a plain text calendar centered with not borders or colors.

The "Settings" and "Logout" as well as the filter, navigation, and add event buttons are there...that is it.

SQL Connect Error

Good morning.

I have created a monster it appears.

I have a Godaddy Linux shared hosting that last week was running your Easy PHP Calendar v6. I had MySql configured and working on PHP version 4.4.9 without any issues.

I requested that Godaddy upgrade to a newer version of PHP so I could run Easy PHP Calendar v7. I now have PHP v5.3.6. The MySQL version is 5.0 (as well as last week for version 6).

Having upgraded PHP version 6 was no longer valid so I removed the calendar folder and removed the MySQL calendar database planning a clean install of Easy PHP Calendar v7.

I then ran your test script and got the following: PHP Version Passed [ Version 5.3.6 ]

Then I ran the �Click Here to run the ionCube loader test script� which ran and installed successfully.

I purchased yesterday May 16, 2012 Easy PHP Calendar v7.0.05.

License Type: Version 7

Uploaded files via FileZilla to my site using binary into folder calendar. Created the MySQL database.

Now come heck or high water I keep getting the following error when I attempt the following install:

SQL CONNECTION ERROR! Please start the installer again.
Reported error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

As far as I know I have tried many combination of the following with no success. I tried the user name with and without the IP address, the name.db with and without the 7 digit number
name.db.1234567.hostedresource.com
Server: name.db.1234567.hostedresource.com
User: username@dottedIPaddress

I did not have this difficulty last week when I installed Easy PHP Calendar v6 and created the MySQL database and user. So I really have no idea what I did to break it.

I only have 6 days for a refund so the clock is ticking. I hope this can be resolved because I do like what I have seen at least from the demo and what little I used v6 last week.

Adding IFRAME to event

I need to add a video in a event, using iframes, No problem with tinymce. I have modified the "extended_valid_elements" in the header.php, and the preview is OK, but when i save the event, someone strips the code.
In some threads, I've read "set XSS to no", but this option not appears in version 7.
Any solution?

Filter plugin customization

Thanks for great scripts.

I have a working page with a list of this weeks events created by:-
$LIST=1;
$listWeeks = 1;
$DF = "D jS M";
$template="brides.php";
require("../calendar/calendar.php");
?>

then a mini calendar, legend and filter:-

If I filter it only provides a list of events for the filtered category within the 1 week set by the first php statement. I would like the filter to list all events within a category, not just in the next week.

Any guidance would be most welcome.

Another Filter Dropdown Question

I can get a default category to show up but I cannot get the dropdown to show that category...rather it shows "Show All". I would love to get Show All as an option rather than the default filter status, when the calendar is showing a default category.

Here is my code...

Good morning.
I am looking to change my web site (www.floridalegionpost13.org) calendar to use the "easyphpcalendar" rather than the Google calendar. So far I have encountered the following just running the "test.php" script before even downloading the "easyphpcalendar" files. This is a Godaddy hosted site using Windows. So I am not sure if that is an issue. There have been several items in the past few years that Godaddy seems to have issues with when I try to run / install something. I inherited the web support on this site and I would not have picked Godaddy as a host.

IMG tag in navigation

Trying to use an image for the navigation symbols, eg '.

I see from previous threads that this has been a common difficulty. I'm using the v7 of easyphpcalendar, and the config.inc.php has no entry for, eg, $navright, so I assume it is stored elsewhere. I've tried sinlge and double quotes.

What should I enter in the navigation setup page, or where can I manually edit it elsewhere?

mySQL error when inserting calendar into webpage

I am getting an mySQL error saying that it cannot find ms_menu_menulinks when trying to put the calendar onto a webpage with php.

I should say that I am running a website that does a lot of the require and include statements. And the side menu where I am trying to make the calendar visible is actually part of a require statement for the actual webpage. Therefor the sidebar does not actually have a head tag in it or a body tag.

I read how to do this in the instructions and its telling me to put the following statement where I want the "mini" calendar

Note: Calendar is the directory of my calendar.php file

I have tried that and come up with that error I listed above. After I tried that, I looked and saw I had to put some code into the head tag as well. I opened my head file and inserted the code and come up with even more errors. So do I need to somehow link to the database with a script after the required code? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Not sure what is going on with the calendar I have but I just cant seem to get everything working right. The demo mode is in a text version. The pop up displays my websites 404 page. And the CSS files don't seem to be making changes to my calendar. I had someone help me load the calendar but not really sure what is happening.

The settings page only allows me to select a default calendar. Can someone please help me get past this calendar setup so I can move onto other things I really need to be doing. I am not feeling the "easy" part of this right now. :)

On this website my client ( was the php guy he was the designer and worked for the people who own the site) built this calendar with your software and wordpress to display it:

We created a dev sub domain to test the upgrade of Version 7. I cannot get data to load at all:

"You have exceeded the maximum allowable users."

So I went into the setup section and, to my surprise, I found this error

So the script successfully updated but I cannot get into the panel and I cannot figure out how to get the data from the epc_calendar table to load.
